Served on the first crew until the end of the WW2. Served at age 19 until the end of the war. Would like to sent information on reunions and sub information. I live in Goldsboro, NC with my wife. Please send information on sub events

There is no personal information for my father so I am writing in hopes that someone will update his information pages. My dad, Lloyd R. Beard (45-46) died in a tree trimming accident in January of 1955 in Portland, Oregon where he owned a construction company with his father Arthur Beard. Lloyd was married to Millie Beard in May of 1946 and they had two children, Marilyn in 1947 and Mark in 1950. Lloyd was 30 at the time of his passing.

I know my father Robert E. Goff Sr.served on the USS Segundo. He had USS lapon, USS segundo, and USS Blackfin tatooed on his shoulder. He passed away in October of 97. I couldn't find him on any of the crew lists. He was very private about the war. Does anyone remember him? You can e-mail me.
