P A Riggs           Lee Varney, Jr. added these comments on 2005-07-13 at 13:21:44 The Segundo brought my father home safe after WWII; when it was at Fisherman's Wharf (San Francisco) in the early 60's he took me to see it. After hearing my father had served aboard the Segundo, the commanding officer gave us the "VIP" tour, separate from the public. We were granted a tour of the conning tower; I looked through the periscope and operated the radar. It was a thrill I still remember fondly.
