Good job on the web site!
Please add Bob Aiken, CO, '61-"62 to the Eternal Patrol listing. He passed away from throat cancer in late 2003.
However you might like to use it, I am attaching a photo taken yesterday when I was inducted into the Holland Club at the annual SubVets of WWII-USSVI Christmas Luncheon at the Seattle Yacht Club. Jay and Miri B. Davis, XO '61-'62, wish all SEGUNDO shipmates a very happy holiday and 2006!

I am the second born of Hearold Eugene Evans who served aboard the Segundo. My dad is alive and well and I would love to get his name recognized as a fellow shipmate and continue correspondance with you all.

From a Segundo alumnus
Many thanks for all the work you've done for us "Segundo" alumni. I was 19 at the time, but I remember well my tour aboard her. --John Eills, USN QM3/c (SS).

Hi,
My Dad, Bill Evans (Squeeky) was on the Segundo for the first five tours during WWII. I know he went to some reunions years ago, but he had a pretty bad stroke four years ago which took a toll on his right side and ability to speak. He is proud of his time on the Segundo and I know from his stories he thinks a great deal of his shipmates. If anyone here served with him, I'm sure he would like to hear from you.

A big Mahalo for establishing a Web-Site for the BEST Diesel boat the Navy had..I was fortunate enough to receive both my "Coveted" Silver and Gold Dolphins aboard Segundo-13 years apart.
Currently serving as COB, Bowfin Base Pearl Harbor.

Great site, I qualified in Segundo in 1960. Your crew list brought back some good memories. Mike Daly EM2, Don Priml QMC and myself left Segundo for Perch in 1961. DBF Dave Poage
