Her husband, My Uncle has a Service record, with medeals on the wall behind his chair. I looked to see what it was. It was his service record & medals on the USS Segundo. MY Father was medic On the Tarawa/Marshall Is. Campaigns. He saw the bloodshed, & would not talk of those days. He never told me his brother in law was a Radioman on the Segundo.
